Personal Connections and Adult World Connections:
1. Which project did you have the most personal connection with this year? Why?
A: It really helped me to open my mind and really develop my thoughts before I would choose to say something or act on something. For example I really think about how people act and how they act, I think back to the project and wonder how they grew up and how they were socialized. Taylor, I knew her and I knew that she didn’t have the ideal living conditions. I knew that she didn’t grow up in the best situation and I felt bad. She kind of helped me open my eyes and made me realize that you really don’t know what has happened to somone until you really know them.

2. What have you learned (skill, lesson, or knowledge) this year that will be most helpful for you in the future?
A: open thinker and develop thoughts to see all perspectives rather than just my own.

3. What project or projects have you done this year that have inspired you to want to learn more? Explain how you were inspired.
A: I was interested to see what different people value and what other people hold closer to them. For example in the Happiness Video that we watched, people in China seemed to venerate work more than their family. I thought this was very interesting and I kept digging to see what others may seem to glorify to make them happy.

4. How has your attitude toward learning changed this year?
A: shy to open
E: At the beginning I was more shy with my opinion then throughout the year I learned to open my mind to other people’s perspective and then develop my own on the evidence and my own thoughts.
5. What connections have you made this year between what you have learned in your classes
and your own personal experiences outside of school?
A:socialization
E: I have taken into account when I meet someone, especially at work, and they are “out of the ordinary” that they were socialized differently than I was. I try to accommodate them and try to understand that something that would seem rude in my family might be normal in theirs.
